When we say our lamb is 100% grass fed, we truly only feed them grass on pasture and hay.

So its officially official!

The Stead farm is now Certified through A Greener World!

We are now Animal Welfare Approved, Certified Non-GMO, and Certified Grassfed.

(And I think the only farm in CT to have all three for their pork, lamb and egg layers!)

Thank you everyone for your support and patience through this process! We are so proud to be able to be transparent to you that we are willing to be audited and certified through an amazing worldwide organization, A Greener World !

When we say our animals are humanely raised, we mean it enough to commit to rigorous standards and documentation.

When we say our lamb is 100% grass fed, we truly only feed them grass on pasture and hay.

When we say we're non-GMO, we are feeding our pigs and chickens a strict diet of certified organic, non-GMO whole grains and wild forage.

And now we have the certifications to prove that we mean what we say! We are over the moon excited!
